              Features of Communication                                   
1. Two way process : Communication is possible only when there at least two persons,one sender and the other receiver.

2. It is Continuous process  : Communication is not an art or event at an instance of time rather it is continuous process incorporating various events and activities that are inter-related and inter-dependent.

3. It is Goal Oriented process :  The end result of  communication of understanding between the sender and the receiver of information.

4. Pervasive Activity  :  It is Pervasive activity it takes place at all levels and in all functional areas (Production,Finance, Marketing,etc) of a business enterprise.

5. Verbal And Non Verbal : Communication cannot only be communicated through verbal words alone but a manager can even communicate through symbols, gesture, and actions which are non- verbal in nature.  

6. Information Sharing and Understanding : Communication involves both both transfer of information as well as of understanding between two or more person.

Introduction of Communication

 COMMUNICATION           

Communication is a process of transferring information from one entity to another.

Here the entity may be that transfers information (Sender) and the entity may be that receives the information (Receiver).The sender and the receiver can be people, animals or devices.

In formation can be a lot of different things depending on the context. The information can be Words, gestures, drawings, paintings, songs, music.

Definition of Communication:

Communication may be defined as an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions, or emotions and as a ay that individuals or organisations share meaning and understanding with another.

1. According to Louis Allen, "Communication is the sum of all the things one person does when he wants to create understanding in the mind of another. It involves a systematic and continuous process of telling, listening and understanding." 

2. According to Koontz and O' Donnel, Communication is an intercourse. by words, letters, symbols or message: and is a way that ore organisation member shares meaning and understanding with another.

3. According to Keith Davis, "Communication is a process of passing information and understanding from one person to another."

4. According to Commin, The word Communication describes the process of conveying messages (facts, ideas, attitudes and opinions) from one person to another so that they are understood." 

5. According to Newman and Summer, "Communication is an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions or emotions by two or more persons.

6. According to Charles E. Redfield, Communication is the broad field of human interchange of facts and opinions and not the technologies of telephone, telegraph, radio and the like."

7. According to George Terry, "Communication is exchange of facts, ideas, opinions, emotions or by two or more persons.

8. According to D. E. Farland, "Communication may be broadly defined as the process of meaningful interaction among human beings. More specifically, it is the process by which meanings are perceived and understandings are reached among human beings."
